Emmelie de Forest - Typical Love Song
When making a tribute to an absolute classic there is a certain courtesy that must be taken into consideration. When the hit-focused new label DIDO wanted to mix the old with the new - the songwriting team, together with vocalist and songwriter Emmelie de Forest made a refreshing interpellation of the world hit ‘Big In Japan’ and ‘Typical Love Song’ was made. ‘Typical Love Song’ makes an extraordinary and energising blend using the original chorus melody but with a fresh and modern twist. The original copyright owners - the German 80’s pop group Alphaville - absolutely loved the track and cleared the interpellation straight away.
Emmelie de Forest has been working as an artist and songwriter since she was 14 years old and might be most famous for winning the Eurovision song contest with her smash hit ‘Only Teardrops' back in 2013. Since then she has been writing for other artists and working on finding her own way and her own sound and released her latest album ‘History’ in 2017. With a dedicated fanbase and over 140 000 monthly listeners she is excited to release new music, starting with ‘Typical Love Song’ together with Day In Day Out - a division of Cosmos Music.
