Wig Wam - Do Ya Wanna Taste It (Tungevaag Remix)
Norwegian legendary glam-metal band Wig Wam joins forces with world renown DJ Tungevaag in a new genre-defying remix of ‘Do Ya Wanna Taste It’.
After the Norwegian Glam-metal band Wig Wam’s hit song ‘Do Ya Wanna Taste It’ was used in James Gunn’s hit series Peacemaker, the track basically blew up on streaming charts all over the world. The Norwegian metal band had broken up and were days from being dropped by their agent when 'Do Ya Wanna Taste It' was tapped for Peacemakers iconic opening. The song entered the Spotify Global viral chart at #9 and several others all over the world. The intro has garnered over 7,6 million views on Youtube in just two months and critics and fans are praising it because: It's weird. It's beautiful. And we need more like it.
Norwegian artist, DJ and producer Martin Tungevaag started his musical career with his smash hit «Wicked Wonderland» back in 2014, which became a summer hit and led to shows at clubs and festival main stages all over Europe. Later the same year, «Samsara» reached number #1 on the charts. In 2021 Tungevaag came back with the massive single «Ride With Me» featuring notorious rapper Kid Ink topping the charts in France and later on «Close Your Eyes» together with KSHMR. Another highlight in 2021 was entering the DJ Mag Top 100 at position 89, rising 4 spots from the year before.
The collaboration between the two Norwegian giants came perhaps unexpectedly, a part of a universe where the two different worlds of glam rock and electro met in a genre-defying, weirdly addictive symbiosis. Once again, It's weird. It's beautiful. And we need more like it.
‘Do Ya Wanna Taste It (Tungevaag Remix)’ will be out on all digital platforms on April 22.
